The Moab Art Festival - WabiSabi Kid’s Tent
Join WabiSabi as we turn discards in to art.

Numerous art projects will be available for kid’s to enjoy!

Saturday May 24th – 10 AM to 8 PM
10:00 – Music for Toddlers! Come have fun with music and instructor Cindy Erekson
11:00 – Puppet Show & Make Your Own Sock Puppet: Charlotte Hurley, one of Moab’s favorite story tellers and librarians, will read fairy tale stories followed by puppet-making using recycled materials. Puppets will be designed and created using characters and themes from the stories.
12:00 – Denim Purse – Learn how to recycle those old jeans in to a stylish purse! WabiSabi will supply all the materials needed to make and decorate your fabulous purse.
12:30 – BINGO! Play Bingo and win prizes fromWabiSabi!

2:00- Tie Dying – We will be turning discards into treasures! Join WabiSabi as we give face-lifts to shirts, pillowcases, pants and other clothing by using tie-dye. We will supply all the materials and clothing. Just bring your creativity and fashion restyle.
3:00 - Musical Instruments – A hands-on activity for children to learn the art of creating a musical instrument using recycled materials. We’ll be making maracas so everyone can cha-cha at the festival.
4:00 – Paper Plate Masks – Enjoy the Moab Arts Festival incognito while wearing a one of a kind paper plate mask. After creating the masks, mask-makers will decorate them with surprise materials (hint: from WabiSabi!) and colorful paint.
5:00 – Belly Dancing. Learn the art of belly dancing from Moab’s own Desert Veils.
6:00 – Tie Dying - We will be turning discards in to treasures! Join WabiSabi as we give face-lifts to shirts, pillowcases, pants and other clothing by using tie-dye. We will supply all the materials and clothing. Just bring your creativity and fashion restyle.
7:00 – Bedtime Stories – Award winning storytellers will share bed time tales. A perfect end to a festival filled day!
Sunday May 27th – 10AM to 6PM
10:00 – Story Hour – Curl up in the WabiSabi Kid’s Tent for some great story reading. Followed by an art project based on the story.
11:00 – Magician Rick Boretti will amaze children of all ages.

12:00 – Hoola Hoop with Club Red. Learn the ancient art of hoola hooping.
