WabiSabi’s 7th Annual Fat Tuesday Fundraiser Promises to be the Best Yet! WabiSabi, a Moab-based nonprofit organization with two retail thrift shops, is sponsoring its Mardi Gras Fashion Show Bizarre to benefit local nonprofit organizations. The event will take place on Fat Tuesday - February 24th, at the Moab Brewery located at 686 South Main Street in Moab, UT.

In the spirit of Mardi Gras, the evening promises to be full of visual stimulation, laughter, feasting, extraordinary music, lots of frivolous fun and perhaps a pair of fishnets– all in the name of a very good cause.

This year’s Fashion Show will include one of a kind fashion lines handcrafted by local designers using materials from WabiSabi’s thrift stores and other recycled materials. There will be a live auction for the outrageous outfits after the fashion show followed by a dance party hosted by world famous DJ Harry.

The Proceeds from this event will be distributed to WabiSabi’s seventeen sponsored nonprofit partners. These partners include Arches Education Center, BEACON After School Adventure Program, Confluence Literary Festival, Canyonlands Community Recycling Center, Canyonlands Film Society, Friends of the Moab Teen Center, The Humane Society, KZMU, Living Rivers, Moab Eats, Moab Free Health Clinic, Moab Taiko Dan, The Moab Valley Multicultural Center, The Native American Club, Red Rock Forests, Seekhaven, and The Youth Garden Project.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, $35 for reserved seating, and $55 for front row seating. Tickets include the fashion show, a finger food buffet, and dance party with D.J. Harry, as well as, an opportunity to bid and win an exclusive Mardi Gras attire straight off the runway.

Don’t miss this once-a-year community gathering. It’s a rare chance to discover Moab’s hidden fashion talent, watch magnificent models strut their stuff, hear outstanding music and support some great causes. WabiSabi encourages everyone to come out and celebrate – but don’t forget to bring your Mardi Gras beads and your wallets!
