A full day of workshops presented by The WabiSabi Nonprofit Network, the Utah Nonprofit Association & United Way of Southeastern UtahFriday, November 12th @ Zions Bank Executive Director Forum - 8:15am—9:15am. Free! Join Gwen Springmeyer, Executive Director of UNA, and other nonprofit Executive Directors to discuss and devise solutions to challenges faced in leadership positions. Building a Board That Rocks! - 9:30am—11am This workshop, led by Pat Bair, will develop an understanding of roles for the Board and the Executive, formulate a Grant of Authority specific to your nonprofit, and brainstorm solutions to creating a Balance of Authority that will create a leadership team that holds the key to ultimate success. Financial Management - 11:15am—12:45pm This workshop will guide you through a self-assessment of your financial operations. It is designed to provide organizational leaders with a systematic framework for evaluating the degree to which you fulfill financial and budgeting oversight responsibilities. Lunch 12:45pm—1:15pm Leadership in Tough Times - 1:30pm—3pm Pat Bair will present the 7 Steps to Ensuring Survival. "Reinforcing the organization's core values and mission focus; identifying leaner ways to execute business as usual; partnering with other nonprofits to be more effective; getting in the habit of making hard choices; becoming strategic about consolidations and/or taking new things on.” Presenters include Pat Bair and Gwen Springmeyer. Pat has a PhD in Public Administration and is an expert consultant and trainer in the nonprofit sector, specializing in Board Development, Grant Writing/Fundraising and Leadership Succession/Transition. Gwen is the Executive Director of the Utah Nonprofits Association. |
